Introducing the INSPIRE Practical Handbook
Introducing the INSPIRE Practical Handbook: Empowering Trainers for Sustainable Innovation in the Performing Arts
The INSPIRE Practical Handbook is a vital new resource designed to equip vocational and higher education trainers with the tools to champion sustainability, digital transformation, entrepreneurship, and resilience in the performing arts sector. Closely aligned with the INSPIRE Training Framework and Online Training Programme (VOOC), the Handbook will provide practical guidance, lesson plans, assessment tools, and multimedia resources to support educators in delivering innovative and impactful training.
Structured into four thematic chapters, the Handbook explores sustainability in the arts, effective use of the VOOC, resilience and soft skills for trainers, and advanced methodologies for continuous and lifelong learning. It offers theoretical insights, practical strategies, and activity suggestions to facilitate learner-centred approaches in both face-to-face and distance learning environments. Available in six languages (English, Greek, Italian, German, French, and Spanish), the Handbook prepares trainers to implement and promote the VOOC, act as facilitators and mentors, and support its adaptation within diverse professional and institutional settings. Developed in line with the Erasmus Plus Innovation Alliance principles, the INSPIRE Practical Handbook represents a significant step forward in modernising performing arts education across Europe.
